Latin has long been argued by contemporaries to be a useless language. That the only worth of learning Latin is for a brief time it increase one’s vocabulary or standardized test scores; however, one key factor that is often forgotten is the fact that learning any language is GREAT for your brain! Learning languages help your develop your mind and keep your brain sharp.

  1. I am not famous but I have a Classics minor obtained in the 90s; this minor consisted of 4 semesters of Latin translation, Greek and Roman Mythology, Greek and Latin history, and ancient philosophy.

    I so enjoyed each of these classes, and still have some of the literature which I return to occasionally. I count the days I spent studying the language and thought of the ancients as some of tbe most fulfilling of my life. I would recommend the Classics to anyone interested in real learning.
